RipeLedger (“we”, “the app”), operated by Hongix Design Labs, is a Shopify app that helps merchants track perishable inventory by batch and expiry date. This policy explains what data we access, why, and how we protect it.
When you install RipeLedger, with your permission we access your store’s product and inventory data, order data, and location data through Shopify’s Admin API. We use order data only to calculate aggregate sales velocity for demand forecasting; we do not store your customers’ personal information.
We store the inventory and batch records you create (product, variant, quantity, cost, expiry date), suppliers, purchase orders, your app settings, and the secure session token that lets the app connect to your store. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted in the United States.
Solely to provide the app’s features — money-at-risk reporting, expiry tracking, markdowns, forecasting, and purchase orders. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
We share data only with the infrastructure providers that run the app (application hosting and database). We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
When you uninstall the app, we delete your store’s data in response to Shopify’s shop/redact and app/uninstalled webhooks. You may also request deletion at any time by emailing us.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is restricted to the app’s services.
